Chic yet peaceful, Kensington
is one of San Diego’s oldest and most charming neighborhoods.

also meets at the church every other Wednesday at 6:30 PM.
Kensington has a reputation as a haven for independent
thinkers. In 1929, for example, the second leader of Jehovah's
Witnesses believed that Armageddon would happen soon and that
various historical figures (including King David and Samson)
would return to Earth. Accordingly, he built a 20-room mansion
for them at 4440 Braeburn Road in
Kensington.
Annual events like the Roots Festival and the Adams Avenue Street
Fair attract people to Kensington
from all over the county.
