La Jolla Neighborhoods
La Jolla’s other diverse neighborhoods include:
Beach Barber Tract – An older development, built around the turn of the century. An interesting mix of homes and luxury homes within easy walking distance of the beach. Prices start at around $950,000. Although there has been considerable redevelopment, homes in this community enjoy historical significance.
Country Club – Spectacular views and large parcels of land, this is one of the more exclusive La Jolla neighborhoods. Residents enjoy spectacular golf on a course commanding phenomenal views.
La Jolla Farms – Huge, remodeled homes, some of the most expensive and largest parcels of La Jolla real estate.
Blacks Beach is secluded, and clothing optional. Residents have keys to a private gate.
La Jolla Mesa – Homes command views to the south, as well as city, bay, and beach views. Single family detached homes were built mainly in the 60′s and 70′s.
Lower Hermosa - Includes Windansea Beach. Residents enjoy quiet, palm lined streets with direct access to the balmy Pacific. One of the nicest residential areas in La Jolla this neighborhood was developed from 1920 – 1980. Homes have been built in a variety of styles on ample sized lots. Some have wonderful ocean views, others are right on the water.
Muirlands – Most parcels of land in this subdivision are rather large in comparison to La Jolla’s other neighborhoods. Most have panoramic ocean views to the west or southwest.
Soledad South – Some of the most affordable housing in La Jolla. Homes were built in the 50′s – 70′s. There are also a number of condominium complexes.
Upper Hermosa – A quiet neighborhood. Residents enjoy tree lined streets and excellent views. Homes are built on relatively large parcels of land.
